Terms of Service
Last updated 5 July 2026
1 · Who we are, and agreement
These terms govern your use of bright10.co.za (and bright10.ai) and every service provided by 8T20 Capital (Pty) Ltd trading as Bright10 — Registration 2019/482395/07, VAT 4890292297, East Wing Offices, 68 Silverboomkloof Rd, Somerset West, 7130, South Africa. By using our sites, engaging our services or making a payment, you agree to these terms.
2 · Previews — built before you pay
Any website preview we prepare is a private demonstration at an unlisted link, produced at our cost and at no obligation to you. Until you purchase, the preview — its design, code and structure — remains Bright10's property, we never publish it to your live domain, and we do not represent ourselves as affiliated with your business. Preview links may expire; the expiry (if any) is shown on the preview itself.
3 · Ways to buy
The standard way to work with us is a package: a one-off setup fee to design and build your site, plus a monthly care plan under which we launch, host and look after it for you. Prefer to own the files and host them yourself? Outright ownership is available on request and quoted separately. The exact figures for your project are always the ones shown on your preview and at checkout — those figures are the agreement.
4 · Monthly care plans — billing, term and cancellation
Managed sites run on a monthly care plan at the rate shown at checkout. Your card details are captured securely by Paystack when you make your first payment; card details never touch our servers. Your first monthly debit happens one month after your purchase date — the month you've just had is billed at its end — and then monthly on that same date. Care plans run on an initial 12-month term, then continue month-to-month; after the initial term you can cancel on 30 days' written notice (email is fine). If you need to cancel during the initial term, we'll action it as the Consumer Protection Act provides — on notice, with a reasonable cancellation amount where the law permits one. If a monthly debit fails, Paystack retries automatically and we'll contact you; if payment remains outstanding for 14 days we may suspend hosting until it's settled. Plan prices only change on 30 days' written notice, and never during your initial term.
5 · What each care plan includes
Essential Hosting (R190/month): hosting on a bright10 web address, SSL certificate, backups, basic upkeep and technical monitoring. Growth Care (R490/month): your own domain connected and managed, hosting, SSL and backups, small content changes when needed, SEO / AEO / AI-search visibility work, and digital presence upkeep. Business Care (R990/month): everything in Growth Care plus priority support, monthly improvement work, landing page and content refinement, and analytics and visibility review. Larger content and presence plans are available by agreement. Fair use: included changes cover reasonable, ongoing requests; sustained heavy demands (for example daily content production or custom system builds) are quoted separately or moved to a suitable plan by agreement — never charged without your say-so.
6 · Payments, VAT and receipts
Payments are processed by Paystack (card, Apple Pay and QR). Prices are in South African Rand and are shown either VAT-inclusive or excluding VAT at checkout — what you see at checkout is what you pay. We email you a receipt for every successful payment, including monthly care debits, and a tax invoice made out to your billing details once you provide them.
7 · Domains and your content
Your domain is registered in your name and always belongs to you; while you're on a care plan we manage its DNS and connection for you. Domain registration and renewal fees (typically around R400 per year for a .co.za) are passed through at cost. All content you provide — your logo, brand, photographs and text — remains yours.
8 · Ownership and licence
Own-outright purchases: the complete site files are handed over on payment and the build is yours. Managed sites: the site is licensed to you in full while your care plan is active, and you can buy the files outright at any time on request — we'll quote the handover based on what you've already paid. Bright10 retains the right to reference completed work in its portfolio unless you ask us not to.
9 · Refunds
Because you see and approve the finished website before paying, once-off fees are not refundable once the site has been handed over or taken live. Monthly care fees are not refunded pro-rata for a part month — cancellation takes effect at the end of the notice period. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
10 · Service levels
We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. Managed sites are hosted on reputable, modern infrastructure with SSL and backups; we aim for continuous availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, and we respond promptly to any issue. Change requests are typically actioned within a few business days.
11 · Cancellation and handover
On cancellation of a care plan we assist with a reasonable handover: your domain stays with you, your content is returned, and site files are available under clause 8. We may end a care plan on 30 days' notice ourselves, in which case the current month is not charged and we complete the handover at our cost.
12 · Liability and law
To the extent permitted by law, our liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the preceding three months. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version, with its date, always lives at this page.
